We finally have a release date for the ASUS Qube! After being announced and showcased at CES, we learnt that the Qube would be released during late Q1, 2013. March (the last month of Q1) came and went, but the Qube was still nowhere to be seen. Needless to say we were growing impatient, but the Taiwanese manufacturer has just confirmed with GTV Source that the ASUS Qube will be launching on April 23rd.
The Qube will feature GTV V3 out of the box and comes with all the new features. It will also come with ASUS’ custom UI, which is completely different to what we are used to (check out our hands-on article). The new experience is very… cubical. It’s a little hard to explain, but you can watch the video below to get an idea of how the experience will be.
We know many of you will not like the UI, but the $129 unit is very affordable and comes with good features and specs. Also, you can always use a third-party launcher if you want to simplify the experience. Regardless, it is nice to have a set date and we can’t wait to check it out!
Stay tuned to GTV Source for more! We will be reviewing this bad boy. What do you guys say, will this be your next Google TV?
