Another Glimpse At Google TV 2.0 (Android 3.1)

Another glimpse of Google TV 2.0 has appeared online giving us some more looks at a few of the new features coming along with Android 3.1. Pictured above is the main attraction,  the one and only — Android Market. You can see a few apps specifically for Google TV are already available like “QVC for Google TV.”

You can see in these images the new look of Google TV 2.0. The UI is definitely more streamlined and user friendly. Although I own a Logitech Revue, I can’t remember ever seeing some of these features like being able to view all the movies currently playing on live TV.

Not sure what was the hold up but I honestly cannot wait until Google finally releases the 3.1 update. Unlike the previous version of Google TV that was, lets face it — a total flop — version 2.0 has the potential to be a real success. Apps, internet and live television? Sounds like entertainment perfection to me.

I am still scratching my head as to why we wouldn’t get ice cream sandwich as the update, vs putting honeycomb on the logitech.
Regardless, just getting access to the market and a better chrome implementation are going to be much needed improvements. Lets get this OTA soon, logitech/sony/google!

Well the update would take even LONGER if we were gonna have to wait for ICS… Give us HC now with apps galore then worry about ICS (imo)
